அப்பா ... i have found your மாப்பிள்ளை ...

Appa's rule for me dating : No brown guys... no white guys... no கர்ருபன்ஸ் ... definitely NO No for asians ... So whose left ... no one ... when i mentioned this to him ... he said ... well too bad ...
Me: comon appa u have to relax the rules ..
Appa: hmm ... let me think about it i need some time

Days and years passed...
When finally after a long time i declared to him one fine day that that I marry SM ... here's what he said " அவன்னுக்கு நான் ஒரு test வைப்பேன் (his approach to the relaxed rules) ... if he passes that then he can marry you..."
I was kinda taken aback ... but i said OK ..
Me:whats the test?
Appa: He must carry you for five minutes
me: what ? are u trying to kill him or what ?
Appa: if he cannot then no கல்யாணம் or katheerikai ....

I am how do i say it ... not carryable material ... obviously for well-known reasons ... this was more like a you are going to fail test .... so i laughed it off ... that was never going to happen ...

BUT TODAY ... after a long time i went into my old store (i used to work at sears!!!) to see my old friends etc .... i saw எ whole lotta people ... and after almost a year and a half ... i saw M.T. ( MT is a typical white boy .... he's 18 ... Tall 6.3 ish ... lanky ... lanky meaning ... all muscle ... not like body builder ... just நறம்பு..and தோல் ...) ... It had been so long that i had forgotten his ritual ... this KID would lift me up... i mean carry me ... like he would bend down to HUG me and just grab me and carry me ... like those tamil heros carrying those chubby heroines ... and he wouldnt even be out - of -breath .... But i had forgotten this till today ...

So today .... As i saw him come towards me ... i was all set for the customary HUG ... but he did the unexpected ... he lifted me up and held me in a midair/embrace for 5 mins ... in the middle of the store with about 50 other people ... staring at us ... OH MY GOD !!!!!

But of course ... the next time appa says i can only marry a guy who can carry me .... he he he ...
