The journey matters more than the destination .......

I happened to catch the results show for maanada mayilda -- the show where the annoced the people that were moving into the finals -- it was amazing to see the number of people that started to cry -- i mean really winning is not the point -- how you get there is -- well thats what i have been told -- no matter what amma and appa have always encouraged me to do my best and be happy through the process not to be anxious or sad -- and winning was never that important being part of the process --- school definitely made sure of this -- i remember the time when my grade 12 results had come out and i didnt get the marks i had expected in Math -- so i went to school to talk to my principal to send in my paper for reevaluation -- appa came with me -- i remember G anna talking so highly about me as a person and that the marks did not reflect anything about the person that i had turned out to be after the 14 years in the place -- i didnt take it too seriously aana i still remember appa's face -- the disappointment after seeing my marks and the Pride after talking to G anna --- i will never forget that look .... so even today for me only the Journey matters not whether i win or lose .....
