SA RO JA --- truly worthy of all the HYPE!!!!

Saroja -- an afternoon spent alone was truly time well spent. (CAUTION: some plot revealed)
So last week friday i found out that Saroja was playing at the Famous Players in Scarborough town center -- I was SUPER excited firstly i could watch it on big screen ( tho it was also playing at the desi theater -- the screen there is tiny -- i would rather stay home and watch it on my 55" screen than pay 10 bucks to watch it there) --- Next-- i could catch it on tuesday for 5 bucks hehehe -- so the next task was to find someone as vetti as me to join me --- but truth be told no one is that vetti just with the start of the school year --- SO MY FINAL victim was APPA --- i asked him so many times that he could not refuse ( his excuses are spending anju dollar on a cinema , next is that the movie run late into the evening thereby messing with his sleep time) BUT -- alas he had an important meeting at 4 so couldn't make it to the 6:10 show -- so after a long phone conversation with amma and my mama in london -- i was told to go watch it ALONE !!!! sigh for someone that hates to even eat breakfast alone watching a movie in a theater was YUCKY --- but since i had already started to venture out to watch movies alone ( DARK KNIGHT) being the first-- i was determined to do this --- AND OH MY GOD --- I HAD THE BEST TIME ever --- there were maybe 25 people in the theater with me in a place that could easily hold 500 people--- i was there early and so had a chance to pick out the ideally spot --- but like things that are great have a flaw -- my spot had a flaw too -- the row above me was taken over by 2 thugs and the worst part was they kept kicking the back of my chair every time they started to laugh which was the WHOLE MOVIE --- i mean even when we see Jagapathi babu talk to the pic in his wallet and ganesh interrupts with "yarru SAR antha figureuu" IT was SEEMA FUNNY !!! i mean chennai 28 was great and sometimes 2nd time directors tend to do the same thing and kinda kill the first time MAGIC -- but Venkat Prabhu has managed to NOT do that -- which in itself is great -- Start to finish it was just one big funny ride -- I was expecting it to be good and I did have expectations ( BF- thought it was very good , which he hardly says about any movie , blogs were flooded with reviews and AV gave it a score of 43/100 -- hardly any movies get such a mark ) --- But the one thing that I did do was not to read any of the reviews or plot revealings -- cos i did not want to have any pre-knowledge about the story -- Something I never do these days !!!!
So WHY I think its worth every bit of hype it is getting cos : its a comedy /thriller that was been finely executed ,
made me want to fly to Chennai and go watch it with my best buddies there -- I MISS YOU ALL MY DOSTHS !!!!!!
The friendships portrayed are so real , that everyone that has had true friends can connect with it!
The SONGS KICKED ASS!!! i mean i am now truly transferring my affections from DAD to SON -- cos i think he has earned it !!! The BACKGROUND score is just super !!!!!
Also i can truly connect with Ganesh and all the angels -- cos i have had some many angles dance around so many Boys -- hehehehehe
But most of all it was great to see a movie still stick to the tamil movie tradition (the hot thug dance / or the remorselessness of the four when the walk away from a night of killing) but still be so refreshing -- esp. with 4 guys go at 1 guy and still not able to over power him !!!
to see everyday men stand up and be HEROs is awesome !!! and who hasn't had your true love - who is your best friend - fall in love with someone else and you have had to stand aside but also be part of it all OR~even have the one girl willing to hold hand , let go of it , walk up to ur bestpal before and slowly caress his sweaty arm and finally hold his hand !!! CLASSIC !!!
And finally ( I am going to stop) : to get almost everyone from your previous movie to be part of the next one too!!!
And ( last, last) to just pull it all together SO well is truly fantastic
